LET’S GET STARTED

We know how excited you must be to reach the goal of your StarSmile.

Save this booklet someplace safe in case you need to refer back to it later. All the aligners are organised in order for you, so be sure not to mix them up. Use one aligner at a time, and when you’re done with each aligner make sure to save them in this box in their corresponding section. Let’s dive deeper into what else you’ll find in this box.

This will allow you to store your aligners in a safe, dry place and make it easy for you to transport your aligners in a pocket or purse. This is where you should keep your aligners when you are eating or drinking anything aside from water.

3

StarAligner Seater.

4

StarAligner Remover.

Use this to remove your aligners easily.

5

StarSmile Stretcher.

Place this in your mouth before taking photographs of yourdeveloping smile for StarSmiles in the case of a check-in.

PUTTING IN YOUR STARALIGNERS

Let’s place your first set of StarAligners on your smile together. First, make sure you are choosing the correct aligner: month 1, week 1. Rinse your StarAligner with water and gently place them over your teeth. Use your fingers and the StarAligner Seater to snap them into place.

How are you feeling?

Your aligner should feel relatively snug. But remember, the first aligner of each month is the softest one, so subsequent aligners this month may feel a little bit tighter. This will facilitate your smooth transition to a StarSmile and minimize any pain or discomfort. As your teeth move into their ideal positions, the aligners will feel more comfortable.

Are you worried that your StarAligners don’t fit?

First, remember that this is only your first time wearing the StarAligners and it may take some getting used to. If you feel like there’s something wrong, then reach out to our support team and we’ll get your StarAligners fixed. We’re here for you every step of the way. We’ll get any problems solved.

STARALIGNER ESSENTIALS.

It’s important that you keep your aligners Star clean and organised. Follow this StarAligner Essentials guide to ensure a safe and spotless journey to your StarSmile.

Wash Up.

First and foremost you want to make it a habit to keep your hands clean and washed at all times. Make sure to brush your teeth after every meal and floss before putting your aligners in at the beginning of each day.

Save them.

Make sure you remove your aligners one at a time. When you’re done with each aligner, wash and dry them, and replace them to their corresponding section in your StarKit.

Removing them.

Before using your aligners, be sure to clean them with a gentle soap and some lukewarm water. Don’t use other oral hygiene products such as mouthwash and toothpaste

Wearing them.

You must wear your aligners at all times, except for when you are eating or drinking anything aside from water. They must be worn for 22 hours per day for you to achieve the StarSmile you deserve. Yes, even when you’re sleeping.

Cleaning them.

Use your StarAligner Remover to remove your aligner. Use the hook to pull the aligners down or up depending on when you remove the top and bottom aligners. Avoid pulling forward as this could damage your aligners.

Keeping them.

Do not throw away your aligners. Clean, dry, and store each aligner in its corresponding section in the StarKit just in case you misplace an aligner and need a replacement. If you lose or break an aligner, don’t worry. Reach out to our support team and we’ll take care of you. You may have to return to a previous aligner, jump to the next one, or we may send you a replacement.

Changing them.

Make sure that you are keeping up with the schedule of changing your aligners from step to step. While it’s clearly charted out in the box, you may benefit from adding reminders on your electronic or physical calendar to change your aligners.
Remember, the first and second aligner each month will be worn for weeks 1 and 2, and the third aligner will be worn during weeks 3 and 4.

FAQ'S

Why am I feeling pain?

The StarSmiles 3 Aligner system is designed to be extraordinarily comfortable and gentle, compared to competitors. You shouldn’t feel more than some mild soreness while you’re getting adjusted to your new aligners. But, that just means that our system is working. If for any reason your discomfort persists, just reach out to our support team. We’re here for you.

What should I do if my dentist tells me I need some dental work done?

During the course of your treatment, StarSmiles strongly advises against any dental work. Dental procedures can alter the shape of your teeth, causing the aligners not to fit.

Please inform us if you have any required or elective dental procedures coming up. If you participate in an elective dental procedure, your StarSmiles Guarantee may be void.

What do I do if I think my aligners aren’t fitting properly?

By the end of each aligner set, if your teeth and the aligners are fitting without air gaps, you’re doing great. If at the end of the set you detect a mismatch between the aligners and your teeth let our support team know with photos of your teeth with and without the aligners on and we’ll get back to you with a solution.

Can I skip over Aligner sets?

No. Your aligners are custom designed to take you on a journey of very gradual teeth shifting that is optimized to a safe and comfortable pace. If your aligners don’t fit properly, reach out to our support team and we can evaluate how to best assist you.
